Malapascua is a small island north of Cebu and it is also known as 'shark island'. This is because the Thresher Shark can be seen here at a depth of around 20 meters, while the normal depth is around 40 meters. The Thresher shark is among the top 10 largest sharks in the world.
Furthermore, the small island has beautiful sandy beaches and is very quiet: it is an ideal place to find your inner peace again. From Malapascua you can also visit the island of Kalanggaman: an uninhabited (!) Island where you can go by boat.
